Mason is an affluent town in southwestern Warren County approximately 22 miles (35 km) from downtown Cincinnati. On June 1, 1803, Revolutionary War veteran William Mason paid $1,700 at auction to purchase 640 acres of land in what is now downtown Mason. Over the years the city has grown from the original acreage to over 11,200 acres, incorporating as a city in 1971.

As of the 2010 census, Mason’s population was 30,712. The town has experienced fast growth, with its historic Main Street remaining the center of the community. Mason went from being a sleepy farm town of less than 5,000 residents in the 1960′s to a bustling community of Cincinnati commuters in the 1990′s.

Mason, the largest city in Warren County, is near the southwest corner of Ohio. Warren County is called “Ohio’s Largest Playground” and Mason is the anchor. Regional attractions include the Golf Center at Kings Island, Great Wolf Lodge and Conference Center, Kings Island Amusement Park, and the annual Western & Southern Open.
